The Needs
The customer had to concentrate in a single structure several fragmented logistics depots scattered in different locations in northern Italy. From this urgent need, one of the largest logistics platforms in Italy was created, capable of serving all the customer’s supermarkets in northern Italy in the best possible way. The premise explains well the incredible technical requirements that the new and impressive platform required to work at its best to add to the high expectations of the customer.
The Solution
ESA Elettromeccanica has played a fundamental role in the entire process of defining the planning and execution of the works as it has been the systems integrator and global reference point for all the systems and technical systems existing inside and outside the logistics centre. Our thirty years of experience in the field of logistics and industrial refrigeration in the food sector and in the process world has been decisive in framing the design and implementation problems right from the start. From this wealth of experience it was easy to carry out all the design, implementation and direct commissioning of all systems such as: MV electrical distribution systems, electrical distribution systems and LV automation, fire detection systems, toxic and explosive gas leak detection systems, fire protection systems, CCTV and burglar alarm systems, access control systems, sound systems, systems to protect against atmospheric discharges, LAN and MAN network systems and infrastructures.
The only solution available to deal with such an important role was to put into practice all the technical and interpersonal skills that each individual member of the ESA team had at their disposal. This has been the winning weapon to confront with the innumerable companies and professional figures that have interacted together to complete the work with full satisfaction of the Sma Customer.

- Medium Voltage Electrical Cabins: 4 electrical cabins with radial connection for a total installed power of 4500kVA
- Electrical panels: 104 electrical panels between distribution and automation systems
- Inverters: over 40 inverters with powers between 0.5kW and 315kW
- Luminaires: more than 2800 luminaires installed
- Blindo Luce: over 9km of blindo Luce
- Data sockets: more than 1700 Cat.6+ data sockets installed and certified
- Fiber optic: over 17km of fiber optic 50/125 installed with about 680 certificates fiber realized and certified
- Data Network Cable: over 44km of Cat. 6+ LAN cable
- Electrical Design: about 3,600h of overall electrical design
- Labour: about 16,500 hours worked on site and 4,500 hours worked in the workshop
